Just a few more beautiful faces from A Wish With Wings. It’s almost time for the spring fashion show/fundraiser and all of these beautiful children will walk down the runway at the Hotel Worthington in Ft. Worth –modeling a new outfit donated by Dillard’s. It’s great fun for the kids and a big fundraiser to "AWWW" –the more money they raise, the more wishes they can grant! In their 20 year history they’ve granted 998 wishes! Here are some of them  with their families…. 

"If you want to feel rich, think of all the things you have that money can’t buy…"

Sometimes photography teaches me things I don’t expect. I always see the beauty in the people I photograph…every single one. But I recently accepted a project for A Wish With Wings (www.awishwithwings.org) that really opened my heart. Beautiful children coping with serious illness.  I am photographing them with their families and I could go on and on about their spirit and courage –but I hope their faces will say it all.   Aren’t beautiful?

Everyone knows that brides have a certain shine about them –whether it’s the dress, the anticipation or just an inner knowing that something special happens when they wear "the dress" I’m just not sure but I think every woman knows what I’m talking about. I was photographing Jackie in her dress the other day and we added some natural light to our studio session and ZING, there it was. The magic click every photographer prays for. It’s the WOW that you feel the minute you snap the shutter. Thanks, Jackie, for the WOW.

And, to be fair, Jackie’s husband Casey looks equally gorgeous in his uniform!
