I met a wonderful new family last week. We’ll call them the W family
to protect their anonymity –because hollywood is going to be calling. Anyway, they were really good sports and we had fun –and I think their portraits show it. I’m still editing this group of images but already I can feel this family in these pictures.
I really started to write about BROWN. It’s the hottest new thing and you’re going to be seeing more and more of it. We all love black and white photography. It is here to stay. Color is exciting, too, but the standard we judge really good photography by will always be "is it good enough to be black and white?"
Big trends in design right now are dictating WARM colors, earthy layers of color that warm up a room instantly (stay with me here, I’m getting to my point) and that’s why we’re drawn to the BROWNS. They’re like comfort food for the eyes. Rich, deep and velvety. Which is why my black and whites have been going brown lately… see the difference?
Of course, I like them both but the brown is definitely what everyone is talking about these days. That and stretched canvas prints… what a cool combination. Here’s a couple more shots of the gorgeous W family.
