Just this week we photographed a beautiful little “girl about town” named Lucca Bella. She’s famous for her beauty, of course, but also for the fabulous Dog Salon/ Spa by the same name in the park cities ( LuccaBella). We had a lot of fun in the studio and of course, she was instantly a star. Here’s a quick look…

It’s finally spring and each year we do a very special two day event called Tulips & Tutus!  We have a gorgeous one of a kind hand painted canvas that we spread out for the little ballerinas to pose on. I am always amazed at the look on their faces when they walk in and see all the tutus spread out everywhere. They LOVE picking out their outfits!  Moms have fun, too –creating memories for the girls and lots of fun for all of us!  Don’t miss this annual event — mini sessions are quick and easy, but the availability is limited. All you need to bring is the ballerina!

All you have to do is look at these portraits to know how much fun we had. And I just love how personal and unique they are! Can’t you see them sharing these with their little boy someday? I often have people tell me they had a lot of fun, but this time it was my turn!  I loved every minute of it –thanks, Niki and Cody!

We decided to play with window light and hats today! Elyse was such a great model and was very patient while we experimented with different angles (and different hats!). The studio has a wall of glass facing south and at certain times of day, we get just the right amount of soft light. If you’re photographing your baby at home, be sure and move close to a big window –but avoid direct sunlight. Your snapshots will instantly improve!
