If you've got a high school student in the family it's time to learn a little bit about the world of SENIOR Portraits. We just launched our new website dedicated just to Senior Portrait Photography  so all things SENIOR are top of mind right now.  First, Dallas area seniors often prefer to be photographed in the spring rather than the fall -- mostly because of the heat. This is opposite of many parts of the country where summer and fall is the busy season for senior photos.  Second thing to keep in mind is location.  Dallas area seniors love outdoor portraits -- although some of the private schools like Greenhill often require a studio shot of the graduate in a special outfit.  If your senior attends a private school you should check and see if professional portraits can be used in the yearbook, as some can. This is a big improvement over the run-of-the-mill school photos that are done on site at the schools. Kid at this age really love to express their individuality which is a little difficult with the "stand in line for a five second portrait" approach. Our third point is be prepared for some creativity and expression from your senior.  We photograph seniors with cars, cats, guitars, stuffed animals, basketballs, dogs, sheet music, trucks and just about anything else that you can imagine. That's really kind of the fun of it, right?  We want to show them as the person they have become before they take that big step into their new semi-independent life.  We love making this a special experience for them and we think you'll enjoy it, too.  Visit the new website and call and reserve your spot on the calendar. You know how they procrastinate -- they won't remind you until it's a week before graduation!
