I love portraits. But good photography is not "instant" - it comes from caring. In these days of instant EVERYTHING, I think my clients want to know that I pour thought and care in to each one of the photographs I am honored to make for them. When we photograph pets or do a children's portrait session we imagine that photograph as part of their family history. It sounds cliche, but we DO create memories. We love what we do and we make it fun and easy for them.
I am a graduate of The Elkins Institute of Photography and a member of the Wedding & Portrait Professional International (WPPI) and am proud to support many local animal and children's charities with my work. My images have been featured on the CBS Early Show, CBS Sunday Morning, The Today Show online, BBC Radio, The Dallas Morning News, Professional Photographer Magazine, Country Living Magazine, Guideposts, Bark Magazine, D Magazine, Readers Digest and numerous other publications -- but it's the portraits that hang in homes and treasured by those families that mean the most.
I love being part of my community. I am involved with a number of Dallas Arts organizations and donate to many local animal charities. What gets me out of bed in the morning? In my 20+ years of professional photography experience, I have never stopped falling in love with the emotion of a good portrait.
I love all of the families and their pets -- and every day is an adventure in our studio. The kids seem to grow up right before our eyes! Teresa and I have been working together for 4 + years and I'm still amazed at the fun we have and the great relationships we have with our clients. Who else gets hugs every day at work?
Being a photographer's assistant and a photographer shows me both sides of the art -- and I love it. In all the many different types of photography that we do, it never gets boring. And I love that we do things right and don't take shortcuts.
