Each year we photograph an assortment of beautiful dogs who volunteer to help us raise money for animal rescue in Texas. This year we had a great time getting to know the dogs and their families -- and the result ? Through an online voting contest we raised over $15,000 for the Artists for Animals Grant Fund. This fund (through a simple grant application process) gives money to various rescue groups to help with vet bills, animal transport and adoption costs. None of the groups has a big fancy fundraising operation or a paid staff -- they are simply animal lovers (like us!) who are trying to get more homeless cats and dogs off the streets and out of high-kill shelters where they can be adopted.
